Our client is a leading global asset manager with a long-established presence across traditional and alternative investments. With deep capability in private markets, real assets, private credit and multi-asset solutions, the firm is continuing to expand its footprint within the Australian wealth landscape. We are seeking a senior Product Specialist to focus on driving growth of Private Markets into the Private Wealth/Mid-Market channel.
The Opportunity
Working as part of a highly collaborative product and distribution function, this role is focused on supporting capital-raising for a suite of alternative investment strategies. You will help open and deepen wealth-channel relationships, strengthen platform access, support research engagement, and enhance the commercial traction of funds already in market.
The position also operates as a senior product specialist, able to articulate investment structures, underlying assets, portfolio behaviour and broader market dynamics to a range of wealth clients. You will help shape product positioning and messaging, support investor-relations activity, and play a meaningful role in product development, market testing and enhancements.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive distribution and capital-raising initiatives for alternative investment products within wealth channels
- Act as the senior product specialist with deep understanding of structures, asset-level detail and market implications
- Support the opening of new wealth channels and strengthen engagement with key distributors and advisers
- Manage ongoing client interactions for funds in-market, including education, updates and technical support
- Contribute to the development of product messaging, marketing materials and client-facing content
- Partner closely with investment teams across private markets, real assets and private credit to align product and market needs
- Assist with product development, refinement, market testing and potential feeder-fund structures
- Support investor-relations activity and ensure a high-quality client experience
- 10+ years’ experience raising capital or acting as a product specialist across alternatives
- Deep understanding of private-markets strategies such as real assets, private credit, infrastructure and related sectors
- Experience in delivering semi-liquid alternative solutions and knowledge of multiple investment vehicles/structures
- Strong presenter across one-to-one, group and digital formats
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and negotiation capability
- Tertiary qualifications; advanced accreditation (e.g., CF, CAIA) preferred
