Role Overview As a Senior Application Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, building and enhancing digital applications that support both customers and internal stakeholders. Working within a collaborative Agile environment, you'll contribute across the full software development lifecycle while mentoring others and promoting engineering best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance modern web applications and APIs
- Design scalable cloud-native solutions within AWS
- Contribute to architecture, code reviews and technical design decisions
- Champion quality engineering, automation and CI/CD practices
- Mentor team members and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate closely with product, design and technology stakeholders
- Strong commercial experience with AWS-based application development
- Expertise in Angular, TypeScript, Node.js and modern frontend development
- Experience building REST APIs, microservices and event-driven architectures
- Strong Java and Spring Boot development capability
- Experience with automated testing and engineering best practices
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, GitHub and Agile delivery environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Passion for mentoring and driving technical excellence
