Role Overview
As a detailed orientated and experienced Assistant Accountant, you will be primarily responsible for providing support to a client base consisting of mostly family office groups.
- Prepare draft management accounts and financial reporting packs
- Manage, forecast, and report on cash flow
- Perform account reconciliations across multiple entities, including trusts, companies, and SMSFs
- Prepare and review ATO compliance obligations such as BAS, IAS, and PAYG
- Liaise with external accountants for year-end financials, tax lodgments, and compliance matters
- Respond to ad hoc client reporting requests and information needs
- Possess relevant industry qualifications and bring solid professional experience;
- Demonstrate a proactive, personable approach to stakeholder engagement and client service;
- Be motivated to find smarter, more efficient ways of working, with a keen interest in leveraging technology;
- Maintain strong attention to detail while keeping a strategic, big-picture mindset;
- Manage your time effectively and understand the importance of meeting deadlines or communicating proactively if delays arise;
- Work well independently, while also being a collaborative and supportive team member;
- Communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing;
- Above all, handle confidential client information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
- CA/CPA highly regarded
