Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and assess commercial lending applications across a portfolio of customers with borrowing requirements between $1 million and $10 million.
- Prepare detailed credit submissions, including financial analysis, risk assessment, industry analysis and facility structuring recommendations.
- Partner closely with Relationship Managers to support customer acquisition, portfolio growth and retention strategies.
- Undertake annual reviews, covenant monitoring and ongoing portfolio management activities.
- Evaluate the financial performance and growth strategies of high-growth trading businesses across multiple sectors.
- Assess and structure lending opportunities for property investors, developers and commercial property customers.
- Identify key risks and mitigants through analysis of financial statements, cash flow performance, security positions and management capability.
- Maintain a strong understanding of market conditions, industry trends and credit policy requirements.
- Contribute to a high-performance team culture focused on delivering exceptional customer outcomes while maintaining sound risk management practices.
- 2 - 3 years of Experience in a financial services, debt advisory, equipment finance, home lending, commercial banking, business banking, or credit analysis.
- Strong financial analysis and credit writing skills.
- Experience assessing trading businesses, including working capital, cash flow and expansion funding requirements.
- Exposure to commercial property lending, property investment or property development transactions.
- The ability to interpret financial statements and identify key business performance drivers.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work collaboratively with relationship managers and customers.
- Commercial acumen and an interest in supporting ambitious businesses through periods of growth.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business or a related discipline (preferred).
