THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are seeking a highly motivated Associate & Senior Associate to join the Class Actions & Litigation team. In this role, you will work on complex and large-scale litigation matters, including class actions across securities, competition, consumer protection, and human rights.

You will work closely with experienced litigators and contribute to every stage of the litigation process, from strategy and investigation through to trial and resolution.

This is a unique opportunity for a litigation lawyer who thrives on intellectually challenging work and is passionate about justice and accountability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage and contribute to complex litigation and class actions across diverse sectors.
  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, submissions, and advice.
  • Engage in evidence preparation, including document review, witness statements, expert reports, and briefing counsel.
  • Participate in strategic discussions and contribute to case theory development.
  • Interact with clients, funders, regulators, and other stakeholders.
  • Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and paralegals as required.
  • Support business development and thought leadership initiatives, including article writing and public engagement on issues of legal and social importance.
ABOUT YOU:
  • 2–7 years’ PQE (for Associate to Senior Associate level) with a background in commercial litigation or class actions.
  • Experience in superior court litigation, ideally including Federal Court proceedings.
  • Exceptional legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
  • Strong project management and time management capabilities.
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to thrive in a team-oriented, purpose-driven culture.
  • A passion for public interest litigation, justice, and legal innovation.
