Role Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Audit Manager with strong Australian external audit experience. You’ll lead assurance engagements, manage teams, and provide expert guidance on complex accounting and financial reporting matters.
- Manage assurance engagements from start to finish
- Review group financial statements and resolve complex reporting issues
- Stay current with accounting and auditing standards and communicate updates
- Oversee multiple large engagements and ensure timely delivery
- Schedule and coordinate jobs, monitor costs and team performance
- Review team outputs and provide timely feedback
- Support training and development of team members
- Produce high-quality work papers and client advice
- Assist Partners with resource planning and risk management
- Understand client goals and tailor services accordingly
- Contribute to business development initiatives
- Demonstrated Australian external audit experience
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting and auditing standards
- Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Commercial awareness of financial markets and macroeconomic factors
- Experience in training and mentoring junior staff
- Exposure to business development is a plus
