Role Overview
This newly created Melbourne-based role offers the opportunity to take ownership of existing adviser relationships while also driving new business across the Victorian market. The role is open to experienced BDMs as well as candidates ready to step up from a BDA role or those with a Private Wealth background looking to move into funds management. Success will be measured by the ability to service existing clients at a high level while also developing new adviser and dealer group relationships.
Responsibilities
- Grow and service adviser/dealer group relationships across VIC/SA/WA/Tas
- Deliver on the firm’s distribution strategy (flows, revenue, activity)
- Prospect for new clients while maintaining and growing existing relationships
- Represent the business at adviser events and industry forums
- Provide follow-up and support materials to advisers in a timely manner
- Build knowledge of global markets and contribute to product positioning
- 3–7 years’ experience in distribution, advice, or Private Wealth (funds management experience advantageous)
- Strong interest and understanding of financial markets
- Experience selling investment products or solutions to advisers
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- RG146 accreditation (or willingness to complete)
- High levels of motivation and commercial acumen
