Are you a detail-oriented credit professional ready to make a real impact in a fast-paced fintech environment? My client is looking for a Credit / Senior Credit Analyst to join a growing company and help shape the future of mortgage lending in Australia.
Responsibilities:
- Assess mortgage applications from submission to settlement with speed and accuracy.
- Analyse financials, valuations, and supporting documents to identify risk and suitability.
- Apply sound judgment to both conforming and non-conforming loans.
- Collaborate with brokers, aggregators, and internal teams to keep deals moving smoothly.
- Drive process improvements and contribute to automation and smarter credit decisioning.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to a high-performing credit team.
Suitable candidate will have:
- 5 plus years experience.
- Proven experience in residential mortgage credit assessment.
- Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for risk.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for improving systems and processes.
- Experience working within financial services, banking, private or non-banking lending environment.
