Role Overview As a Data Engineer, you’ll play a key role in building and optimising the next generation of cloud‑based data solutions. Sitting within a collaborative data team, you'll work closely with engineers, product specialists, and architectural leaders to deliver scalable, reliable, and high‑quality data pipelines.

Core Responsibilities
  • Build and refine cloud‑native data pipelines that power automated, scalable data flows
  • Develop solutions across Lakehouse, warehouse, and data‑lake environments
  • Write high‑quality Python and SQL for ingestion, transformation, and data quality
  • Help transition legacy systems into a modern cloud platform
  • Optimise and troubleshoot pipelines to improve performance
  • Collaborate within Agile squads , contributing to planning and continuous improvement
  • Support CI/CD, version control, and automation practices
  • Integrate data from APIs, databases, files, and enterprise systems
Skills & Experience
  • Experience in cloud‑based data engineering (AWS ideal)
  • Strong skills in Python, SQL , and Spark technologies such as PySpark or Glue
  • Understanding of data modelling principles
  • Experience with ETL/ELT development and data integration
  • Familiarity with Git , automation, and modern engineering standards
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Exposure to BI/visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau) is helpful
