Role Overview
As Head of Technical Services, you will lead the delivery of high-quality technical expertise to internal teams and external stakeholders. This role is pivotal in shaping technical positioning, supporting complex client needs, and driving thought leadership across key product areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex technical queries.
- Provide accurate, timely guidance on regulatory frameworks, tax, and product strategies.
- Develop tools, calculators, and technical content to support advice conversations.
- Deliver webinars, training sessions, and strategic insights to advisers and partners.
- Produce technical papers, articles, and commentary on industry issues.
- Collaborate with product, compliance, and distribution teams to ensure consistent messaging.
- Represent the business in industry forums and media as a subject matter expert.
- Build capability across internal teams through training and knowledge sharing.
- Deep technical knowledge of financial services products and regulatory frameworks.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills with experience engaging adviser audiences.
- Excellent written communication skills with ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Proven ability to collaborate across functional teams and influence outcomes.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., CFP, FChFP, SSA, RG146-compliant).
