What You'll Be Doing
As part of the Business Services & Tax team, you'll play an important role in delivering exceptional outcomes for a diverse portfolio of clients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals and other business entities.
- Managing a range of compliance obligations including BAS, IAS and other taxation requirements.
- Assisting with tax planning, business advisory and value-added consulting engagements alongside experienced Managers and Partners.
- Building trusted relationships with clients by providing practical, commercial advice and responding to day-to-day business needs.
- Working across a broad range of industries and business structures, gaining exposure to increasingly complex accounting and taxation matters.
- Identifying opportunities to improve client outcomes, streamline processes and deliver additional value.
- Collaborating closely with colleagues to ensure work is delivered accurately, efficiently and within agreed deadlines.
- Continuing to develop your technical expertise through ongoing mentoring, learning and professional development.
- Keeping up to date with changes in taxation legislation, accounting standards and industry best practice.
What You'll Bring
To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:
- A degree qualification in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.
- Approximately 3-6+ years' experience within an Australian public practice accounting firm.
- Progress towards completing your CA or CPA qualification, or recently completed.
- Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, individuals and other business entities.
- Exposure to a broad client portfolio across multiple industries.
- Strong technical accounting and taxation knowledge with a genuine desire to continue learning.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to build lasting client relationships.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional client service.
