The Opportunity
Working closely with Managers and Partners, you will take ownership of audit engagements from planning through to completion while mentoring junior team members and building strong client relationships.
This role offers significant client exposure, variety across industries and a clear pathway into Assistant Manager and beyond. The firm are open to either a strong intermediate or a Senior
Key Responsibilities
- Lead audit engagements from planning through to completion.
- Prepare and review audit workpapers in accordance with Australian Auditing Standards.
- Identify key audit risks and develop appropriate audit strategies.
- Prepare financial statements and management reports.
- Liaise directly with clients, developing trusted and long-term relationships.
- Supervise, coach and review the work of junior auditors after a period.
- Assist Managers and Partners with engagement planning, budgeting and workflow management.
- Ensure engagements are completed within agreed budgets and timelines.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and audit quality processes.
- CA or CPA qualified (or nearing completion).
- Approximately 2-6 years' external audit experience within public practice.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Auditing Standards and financial reporting requirements.
- Experience leading audit fieldwork and managing client relationships.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
