About the Role
Profusion has partnered with a leading Global ETF Manager looking to add an Investment Strategist to their team in Sydney. The firm manages a diverse range of exchange-traded products spanning thematic growth, income, and commodity strategies, with significant and growing presence in the Australian market. This role sits at the intersection of markets, strategy, and client engagement, contributing to the development of investment views and translating macro and market themes into practical ETF positioning and client-relevant insights.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor market developments and synthesise implications for portfolios, asset classes, and ETF exposures, ensuring investment messaging remains clear, consistent, and aligned with house views
- Prepare high-quality market insights, written commentary, client presentations, briefing materials, and internal investment updates
- Serve as an internal point of reference on markets, ETF exposures, and investment positioning, supporting cross-functional collaboration with product, distribution, and marketing teams
- Contribute to ETF education initiatives and support consistent investment messaging across internal and external audiences
- Support broader external engagement over time including client and media activity, with confidence presenting in public forums or supporting senior presenters
- 5+ years' experience in financial markets, investment research, trading, or a strategy-related role
- Strong interest in macroeconomics, investment markets, and asset allocation with the ability to translate market developments into practical investment implications
- Familiarity with ETF structures, index construction, and product mechanics; fixed income or FX experience highly regarded
- Structured and analytical with a collaborative mindset, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
