This is a newly created role at a fast-growing fintech lender, it's been created because the business has reached a point where someone needs to own the commercial engine across automotive channels end-to-end.

The strategic context matters: the business has moved away from expanding OEM partnerships and instead integrated them into a broader Digital & Direct business. That means the challenge is no longer building new partnerships from scratch it's extracting maximum value from existing ones, particularly our largest OEM partner, while simultaneously growing Direct-to-Consumer auto lending.

What sits between those two things is a complex commercial and operational picture. Pricing, funnel conversion, marketing efficiency, sales performance, product decisions they all connect, and they all affect originations.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN:

Commercial & channel performance.  You'll own the numbers across both OEM partnerships and Direct Auto — applications, approvals, settlements, conversion rates, acquisition efficiency, and contribution margins. When performance moves, you'll understand why and know what to do about it.

OEM partnership management.  You'll maintain and deepen relationships with existing OEM and automotive partners — managing campaign execution, pricing initiatives, and incentive programs, and identifying opportunities to improve mutual outcomes.

Direct acquisition growth.  You'll partner with the Growth and Marketing teams to drive Direct Auto acquisition across digital channels — improving lead generation, acquisition efficiency, and conversion through data-driven improvements.

Pricing and commercial strategy.  You'll develop and execute pricing strategies that balance origination growth against profitability, keeping a close eye on market trends, competitor positioning, and customer behaviour.

Funnel diagnosis and optimisation.  You'll use funnel analytics to identify where customers are dropping off, test improvements, and implement changes that increase application completion and approval rates.

Insights and reporting.  You'll translate performance data into clear recommendations and support senior stakeholder reporting — grounding decisions in evidence rather than instinct.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

You're likely someone with breadth rather than deep specialism — someone who's moved across commercial, growth, product or partnerships functions and has a strong intuition for how they connect.

  • –5+ years in Commercial, Growth, Product, Partnerships, or Portfolio Management — ideally in fintech, financial services, consumer lending, or a similar digital-first business
  • – A track record of owning or influencing funnel performance, conversion, pricing, or revenue outcomes — not just reporting on them
  • – Experience managing external partners or strategic relationships; OEM or dealer ecosystem experience is a genuine advantage
  • – Strong analytical skills — you can read dashboards, spot what matters, and translate it into action
  • – Comfort working cross-functionally without direct authority — influencing teams you don't manage
  • – Clear, confident communication with senior stakeholders
  • – Full Australian working rights and based in (or willing to relocate to) Sydney CBD
