The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Business Services Manager to join a growing boutique accounting and advisory firm. Based in North Sydney
With a growing team of professionals across 2 offices, the firm continues to experience significant growth as over the last number of months, the firm has brought on over 8 people.
This is an opportunity to join an established business where you'll have genuine ownership of client relationships, exposure to business advisory work and the opportunity to play an important role in the firm's continued growth.
The Role
Working closely with the Partners, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of SME and private clients, providing a combination of accounting, taxation and business advisory services.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and developing relationships with a portfolio of SME clients, privately owned businesses and high-net-worth individuals and families.
- Overseeing the preparation and review of financial statements and tax returns for companies, trusts and individuals.
- Providing tax planning, structuring and broader business advisory services.
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients, understanding their business needs and providing commercially focused advice.
- Reviewing the work of junior and intermediate accountants, providing guidance and technical support.
- Managing workflow, deadlines and the overall delivery of client engagements.
- Working alongside Partners to identify opportunities to grow client relationships and deliver additional advisory services.

To be successful in this position, you'll ideally have:
- CA or CPA qualification.
- Strong Australian public practice experience within Business Services or Business Advisory.
- Experience managing your own portfolio of SME and privately owned business clients.
- Strong technical knowledge across Australian company, trust and individual taxation.
- Experience reviewing financial statements and tax returns.
- Previous experience mentoring and reviewing the work of junior accountants.
- The ability to build strong client relationships and provide commercially focused advice.
- A proactive approach and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
