Key Responsibilities
- Foster and maintain strong collaborative relationships with service providers.
- Evaluate and improve existing processes and manage an ongoing assurance and due diligence program for fund service providers, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
- Lead the CPS 230 operational resilience program for service providers.
- Ensure service providers meet service levels and regulatory obligations within the Trustee's risk appetite and effectively monitor and analyze their reporting requirements.
- Conduct due diligence reviews of Promoters, Administrators, and Custodians, applying a GRC, operational risk, and operational standards perspective. Utilize strong problem-solving skills, ask insightful questions, and constructively challenge when necessary.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of solutions with service providers to enhance service delivery, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
- Prepare clear, concise, and accurate Board and Committee reports on due diligence and monitoring of service providers in a timely manner.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in risk management and/or oversight within financial services.
- Good experience around the trustee or superannuation industry.
- Strong understanding of relevant regulations governing trustee and superannuation.
- Strong skills in working with and influencing stakeholders.
- Sharp thinking and the ability to manage and lead regulatory uplift projects.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive mindset and focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to write high quality reports for Boards and Committees.
