Business Advisory Manager

The Opportunity


A highly respected national mid-tier accounting and advisory firm is seeking an experienced Business Advisory Manager to join its growing Brisbane office.
This is an opportunity to join a firm that combines the resources, client base and technical capability of a large national practice with a genuinely people-first culture. You'll work alongside an experienced leadership team, manage a substantial client portfolio, and play a key role in mentoring and developing staff while progressing towards Partnership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of business services and advisory clients with annual fees of approximately $1 million.
  • Act as the primary relationship manager for a diverse client base, including privately owned businesses, family groups and larger enterprises with turnovers exceeding $20 million.
  • Deliver high-quality accounting, taxation and business advisory services.
  • Review financial statements, income tax returns and other compliance work prepared by the wider team.
  • Provide proactive business, tax and commercial advice to clients.
  • Manage workflow, budgets and client deliverables across multiple engagements.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a team of onshore and offshore accountants.
  • Support Partners in driving client growth, service delivery and team performance.
  • Identify opportunities to add value and strengthen client relationships.
About You
  • CA or CPA qualified.
  • 6+ years' experience within Australian public practice accounting.
  • Previous experience operating at Manager level within Business Services or Business Advisory.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a significant client portfolio.
  • Exposure to larger privately owned businesses and complex client groups.
  • Strong technical accounting and taxation knowledge.
  • Proven ability to lead, coach and develop team members, including offshore staff.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to provide value-added advice to clients.
  • Seeking a collaborative office environment with flexibility, rather than a fully remote position.

  • Salary package up to $155,000 - $165,000.
