National Funding Manager, Wholesale

About the Role
Our client is a highly regarded and fast-growing financial services group with multiple specialist lending and investment brands under its umbrella. As the National Funding Manager, you will take the lead in managing and expanding their wholesale capital partnerships — the lifeblood that supports their mortgage manager and non-bank lender client base.
This is a strategic, senior role where you’ll own institutional relationships, negotiate funding agreements, and shape the funding strategy to meet ambitious growth plans. You’ll work closely with the executive leadership team, giving you visibility and influence across the entire group.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Funding Leadership
- Manage and strengthen relationships with institutional funders, warehouse providers, and strategic capital partners.
- Negotiate and structure funding facilities and renewals that enhance business performance.
- Partnership Development
- Identify and onboard new wholesale capital partners to diversify and secure funding sources.
- Act as the central point of contact for all wholesale funding stakeholders.
- Operational Management
- Oversee covenant compliance, facility reporting, and capital drawdown processes.
- Partner with credit, settlements, and finance teams to ensure smooth funding flows.
- Market Engagement
- Represent the business at industry events, securitisation forums, and key networking opportunities.
- Monitor market trends to identify funding opportunities and potential risks.
- Collaboration
- Align funding capabilities with distribution and product growth strategies.
- Provide input on product development based on market and partner insights.
Skills & Experience Required
- 8 + years in wholesale funding, capital markets, treasury, or institutional relationship management.
- Experience managing warehouse facilities, securitisation programs, or significant institutional funding arrangements.
- Strong commercial skills with the ability to align funding structures to business strategy.
- Established network within the Australian non-bank lending, private credit, or institutional funding space.
- Excellent negotiation, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Sound knowledge of compliance, risk, and reporting in funding operations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, or related field.
