The Role
Playing a pivotal role, you’ll help deliver a network security strategy that enables peer infrastructure and broader technology teams to operate securely and efficiently.
- Provide management, development, and support of Network Security platforms, including Firewall, Proxy, Application Load Balancing, IPS, IPSec, and Encryption systems.
- Operate across both on-premise and cloud-based environments, ensuring stability, performance, and security.
- Identify, design, and build automation and self-service tooling to support continuous delivery, continuous development, and security-led DevOps (SecDevOps).
- Embed network and application security controls into modern delivery workflows, reducing manual effort while maintaining strong governance.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of critical security platforms, including incident support, change, and continuous improvement.
You will have broad experience across the following products:
- Load Balancing & Application Firewall – F5
- Firewalls / IPS – Palo Alto Networks
- Cloud WAF / DDoS / CDN services
- Web Proxy services – Netskope
- IPSec B2B VPN – Cisco ASA
- Understanding of cloud web services – AWS or Azure
- Strong knowledge of the OSI layers with proven troubleshooting capability up to application level, including packet analysis
- Exposure to automation, scripting, or API-driven configuration within a network security context
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally across infrastructure, cloud, and engineering teams
