About the opportunity:
Our client is a leading financial services organisation going through an exciting period of transformation. As part of this journey, they’re strengthening their Risk & Compliance capability to stay ahead of a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape.
This is a key senior role that will shape how the business manages compliance obligations and regulatory change across a large and complex enterprise. You’ll work closely with senior leaders to enhance frameworks, uplift governance, and drive proactive engagement with regulatory bodies.

What you’ll be doing
  • Manage and uplift the enterprise-wide obligations management framework.
  • Maintain the central obligations register and drive ownership across business units.
  • Lead horizon scanning and impact assessment of regulatory and industry change.
  • Support oversight of regulatory programs and provide insights to senior executives and committees.
  • Contribute to strategic responses to ASIC and APRA consultations.
  • Provide thought leadership on emerging topics such as ESG, AI governance, conduct risk, and data ethics.
What we’re looking for
  • Degree in Law, Business, Commerce, or related discipline (postgraduate studies in Investments, Advice, or Superannuation highly regarded).
  • Demonstrated experience in risk and compliance across superannuation, wealth management, or related financial services sectors.
  • Strong understanding of Australian regulatory frameworks, including SIS, Corporations Act, and APRA prudential standards.
  • Proven ability to influence and embed compliance culture across large organisations.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Collaborative and commercially minded, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
