Our client is a leading, enterprise Fin-Services organisation with a strong focus on innovation, reliability, and operational excellence across its technology landscape.

Role Overview

As an Observability Engineer, you will:
  • Support and maintain an enterprise-grade observability platform built on the Elastic Stack.
  • Implement end-to-end visibility across infrastructure and applications to enable proactive monitoring and performance insights.
  • Drive anomaly detection and root cause analysis to ensure operational excellence and business continuity.
  • Integrate logs, metrics, traces, and synthetics into a unified observability pipeline.
  • Develop and maintain Kibana dashboards, visualisations and alerting mechanisms aligned with SLIs and SLOs.
  • Implement machine learning models for anomaly detection and predictive analytics.
  • Optimise data ingestion, transformation, and storage to enhance performance and scalability.
Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years’ experience working with the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats, APM).
  • Strong understanding of observability concepts – logs, metrics, traces, SLIs/SLOs.
  • Proven experience with data ingestion pipelines, parsing, enrichment, and indexing.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and anomaly detection strategies.
Desirable:
  • Experience with OpenTelemetry (OTEL).
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices.
  • Exposure to CI/CD automation and infrastructure as code.
  • Familiarity with containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
