Payroll Test Manager - $1000/day+GST - 6 month Contract
Our client is looking for an experienced Payroll Test Manager to be part of a rollout of a new enterprise Payroll System.
The role
- Leading test planning and execution for payroll testing phases – especially final-stage testing before production.
- Comparing and validating payroll calculations in the new system against expected outputs.
- Collaborating closely with Test Managers to contribute to the overall test strategy.
- Reviewing Enterprise Agreements and interpreting payroll rules for test case development.
- Ensuring all payroll scenarios are scheduled and executed in test phases.
- Mentoring team members and providing hands-on leadership throughout the testing lifecycle.
- 4–5+ years of experience working directly with payroll systems in enterprise environments.
- At least 2 major payroll projects, ideally Tier 1, with active involvement in planning, execution, and strategy.
- Strong hands-on experience in payroll operations – not just integration.
- Proven ability to interpret EA documentation and convert into testable scenarios.
- Solid understanding of test planning and coordination in complex environments.
- Experience with ADP payroll systems is highly advantageous.
- Led or significantly contributed to testing strategy for large-scale payroll transformations.
- Experience in multinational or high-complexity payroll environments.
- Familiarity with modern payroll platforms and their data flows.
