About the Role

As the Workday Platform Lead , you will be responsible for the overall administration, configuration, operations and governance of the Workday platform across HR, Payroll and Finance. You will ensure the environment is well‑designed, stable, secure and capable of scaling with organisational needs. This role partners closely with Technology Platform Leads, Product Owners, Information Security, Architecture, vendor partners and delivery teams, acting as the enterprise’s key Workday subject‑matter expert.
 
Key responsibilities:
  • Lead the end‑to‑end administration and operational management of the Workday platform , including configuration, security, user access, performance, and data integrity across HR, Payroll and Finance modules.
  • Manage Workday releases, feature updates, enhancements and deployments , ensuring appropriate testing, documentation and governance are in place; and coordinating with vendor support as required and maintaining system stability and service quality. 
  • Act as the primary liaison for Workday , partnering with business stakeholders, Technology teams, Architecture, Information Security, vendor partners and project teams for all platform-related matters. 
  • Maintain platform governance, risk and compliance , embedding enterprise risk frameworks, managing regulatory obligations, and ensuring a strong control environment. 
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation , identifying opportunities to uplift Workday capability, enhance user experience and improve operational efficiency.
Skills & Experience:
  • Extensive experience in Workday system administration or Workday platform management within enterprise‑scale environments.
  • Strong understanding of Workday HR, Payroll and Finance modules. 
  • Expertise in Workday security, access controls, integration tools (EIB, Core Connectors, Studio) and release cycles. 
  • Excellent communication, documentation and stakeholder engagement skills. 
  • Workday certifications (e.g., Workday Pro) highly desirable.
