End‑to‑end mandate across development lending & restructures

Company Overview
Our client is a well‑established Australian fund manager specialising in property‑based investments. For more than 25 years they’ve partnered with advisers, brokers, developers and investors, delivering strong lending solutions, responsible fund management, and sustainable growth across the property and investment sectors.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Senior Portfolio Manager – Development & Restructuring, you will manage a portfolio of development finance transactions from origination through settlement, construction, covenant monitoring and repayment. You will also support the restructuring arm, working closely with internal committees and external professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new lending opportunities through established networks.
- Negotiate facility terms, pricing, and conditions with borrowers.
- Prepare and present loan submissions to the Lending Committee.
- Manage loans from approval to settlement, including construction drawdowns.
- Oversee relationships with valuers, QS, engineers, solicitors, and other stakeholders.
- Monitor ongoing covenants and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support and report to senior leadership, including Lending, Treasury & Work‑Out committees.
- Manage distressed or complex loans within the restructuring portfolio.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in development finance, commercial/residential property or construction
- Strong commercial negotiation capability.
- Able to review and analyse valuations, QS reports and project feasibility.
- Confident preparing and presenting papers for committees.
- Excellent stakeholder management across borrowers and professional service providers.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple facilities concurrently.
