We’re seeking a Release Manager with an engineering mindset to evolve our release management processes. This is an exciting chance to introduce modern, automated approaches in a large-scale enterprise environment. Our current team is effective but ready for streamlining to handle growing volume and complexity.
You’ll collaborate to transform release management, shifting from manual processes to an agile, automated system including experimenting with tools, integrating AI, and streamlining workflows to support the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Evolve Release Management: Guide the end-to-end release lifecycle with modern engineering practices for greater automation and efficiency.
- Collaboration & Coordination: Partner with cross-functional teams (development, testing, production) for smooth, on-time releases that reduce manual effort and boost quality.
- Advance Automation: Introduce automation, AI tools, and innovative solutions to optimize processes.
- Risk Management: Spot, document, and address risks to timelines, while upholding scope, quality, and schedules.
- Go-Live & Reporting: Support go-live activities, share weekly progress updates, and monitor portfolio-level issues, blockers, and incidents.
- Engineering background focused on release management, automation, and continuous improvement—we prioritize relevant experience over years in role.
- Previous experience in Financial Services is preferred, including but not limited to Big 4 banking environments; fintech experience will also be highly valued.
- Proven work in large-scale enterprise releases, navigating team coordination complexities.
- Solid grasp of software development lifecycles (Agile experience preferred).
- Familiarity with AI, automation tools, JIRA, Confluence, or similar to enhance processes.
- Strong problem-solving, leadership, and a passion for team efficiency.
- Salary up to $180k + Super.
