Job Description
This is a hybrid Senior Accountant role across Business Services and SMSF, with a split of approximately 60–70% Business Services and 30–40% SMSF.
The role focuses on technical delivery, workflow management, and review, rather than purely client-facing advisory.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparation and review of financial statements, tax returns, BAS/IAS across various entities
- SMSF accounting and compliance work
- Managing workflow, WIP, and job progression to meet deadlines
- Reviewing work prior to final sign-off to ensure technical accuracy
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Identifying and resolving workflow or production bottlenecks
Successful Applicant
- 4–5+ years’ experience in Australian public practice
- Strong tax compliance and financial reporting experience
- SMSF exposure or willingness to learn
- Experience reviewing work or mentoring juniors is advantageous
- CA/CPA qualified or near completion
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work within structured processes
