Our client is within the financial services industry and expanding their team. They are seeking a qualified finance professional to work as a senior accountant for the Sydney team where your role will include financial control, FP&A and tax.
The senior accountant is responsible for:
Role Overview
- Month-end close process
- Undertaking taxation obligations including GST, Stamp duty etc;
- Play a key role during the year-end audit process providing and managing all year-end audit deliverables
- Drafting year-end financial statements;
- Prepare monthly management reports, statutory and regulatory reports
- Collaborating with other teams in the Group to work on various accounting projects;
- Participate in forecast / budgeting process;
- Liaise and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders; and
- Perform other duties as required
- 5 years plus experience ideally within a finance services industry; or Big 4 experience
- Professional qualification (CA/CPA/ACA etc.)
- Able to interact in a professional manner;
- Strong attention to detail and analytic skills;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Self-motivated and driven to succeed with the willingness to work as part of a high-performance team;
