About the role
This is an ideal opportunity for an accountant (either an experienced Intermediate or a Senior) who is ready to take on greater responsibility and wants a role that offers more than just compliance.
You will work closely with clients across a range of industries, providing accounting, taxation and broader business advisory support while taking an active role in mentoring and developing junior team members.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships.
- Managing a diverse portfolio of clients, including business owners and professionals.
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements and taxation compliance work.
- Working closely with clients on business advisory matters including restructuring, tax planning and cash flow management.
- Identifying opportunities to add value beyond traditional compliance.
- Working collaboratively with internal specialists to deliver a complete advisory offering.
- Reviewing work and providing guidance to junior and intermediate accountants.
- Supporting the development of junior team members through regular coaching and feedback.
- Identifying opportunities for further business development and building referral networks.
We're interested in speaking with Senior Accountants who are commercially minded, client-focused and keen to continue developing their careers.
Ideally, you will have:
- 3-5 years' experience within Australian public practice.
- Experience working within a mid-tier or established boutique accounting firm.
- CA/CPA qualification or desire to study.
- Strong exposure to Australian taxation and accounting compliance.
- Experience across Division 7A, FBT and CGT would be advantageous.
- Experience managing a varied portfolio of clients.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Previous experience mentoring or supporting junior team members.
- The confidence to deal directly with clients and provide practical advice.
- A genuine interest in developing further into business advisory and leadership.
