Role Overview
This is a senior, relationship-led Business Development Manager role focused on originating new lending and deposit opportunities across professional services, property-related industries and direct property-backed lending. You will be responsible for developing strategic client relationships while managing complex commercial lending opportunities.
Key responsibilities
- Originate new business banking relationships across Perth
- Develop lending and deposit opportunities within professional and property-related sectors
- Manage property-backed lending transactions up to $50 million
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners and key decision-makers
- Prospect, qualify and convert new clients through active relationship management
- Structure tailored lending solutions aligned to client needs
- Achieve targets across sales, conversion, quality, compliance and KYC requirements
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver end-to-end customer outcomes
- Experience in business development, commercial banking or financial services sales
- Strong commercial credit and analytical capability
- Proven track record in business development and relationship management
- Experience building and managing sales pipelines
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Self-motivated, proactive and target-driven approach
- Exposure to property-backed lending
- Existing networks within professional services, property or allied industries highly regarded
- Senior BDM mandate with significant growth opportunities
