Role Overview
This is a pure acquisition role for a proven hunter. The successful candidate will operate at a senior level, driving new-to-bank business lending transactions in the $50 mil +. Reporting into a high-performing team, the role offers full autonomy and strong support.
- Originate and execute large-scale business lending transactions
- Spend 80% of time on networking, cold-calling, and direct sourcing
- Manage a small back book (3–4 clients, low-touch)
- Work across industries (excluding property development, large property investment, and certain health-sector lending)
- Leverage broker relationships if available, but focus is on first-party origination
- Mandatory Monday mornings in Bankstown; flexible work from Parramatta, Kangaroo Point, or on the road
- Proven track record in self-sourced acquisition
- Deep business lending experience with deal sizes $50m+
- Background in a major bank or strong second-tier institution
- Self-starter who thrives on autonomy and chasing growth
- Not someone who’s “settled into their book” – still hungry to win new business
- $180k base salary, stretching to - $200k for the right candidate
