A well-established and customer-focused financial services organisation is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join its Brisbane-based finance team on an 18-month full-time contract.
This role plays a key part in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting regulatory requirements, and providing commercial insights to drive decision-making across the business.
The Opportunity:
Working as a key member of a high-performing team, you’ll partner closely with the CFO and broader business to deliver high-quality reporting, maintain financial integrity, and support strategic initiatives. This is a broad role offering exposure across financial and management reporting, regulatory deliverables, and treasury activities.
The Role:
- Prepare and review monthly financial and management reporting
- Provide analysis and insights to support business performance
- Support regulatory reporting, including APRA and ATO obligations
- Oversee reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial data
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling
- Support treasury and liquidity reporting activities
- Contribute to process improvements across finance operations
- CA/CPA qualified with experience in a similar accounting role
- Strong background in financial and management reporting
- Exposure to financial services or regulated environments (preferred)
- Strong communication skills with ability to engage stakeholders
- High attention to detail, with accuracy critical in all aspects of work
- Advanced Excel skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
