As the Lending Analyst, you will support the full lifecycle of commercial property lending transactions — from initial assessment through to settlement, drawdowns and final repayment. You will work closely with Portfolio Managers, the Lending Manager, Lending Operations and external stakeholders to ensure strong loan performance and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assess progress draws, maintaining accurate Cost‑to‑Complete
- Monitor covenants, loan performance and compliance; escalate risks as required
- Track loan exceptions and update commentary for fortnightly reporting
- Update loan cashflows, settlement and repayment forecasts weekly
- Monitor interest repayments and capitalised interest provisions
- Complete monthly ECL scoring
- Maintain orderly, accurate loan documentation for audit and compliance
- Assess potential loans against credit criteria and prepare Loan Submissions
- Prepare Loan Variations, clearly outlining risks and mitigations
- Coordinate with Lending Operations and external parties on loan settlements
- Prepare Indicative Letters of Offer for review
- Support the team with ad hoc processing, reporting and admin tasks
- Deliver effective written and verbal communication to internal and external stakeholders
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative high‑performing team culture
- 5 + years’ experience as a commercial lending associate or analyst
- Strong Excel skills and financial analysis capability
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Desire to learn and develop within commercial property lending
- Experience in commercial property development (desirable)
- Proactive mindset and strong team orientation
- Australian citizen or permanent resident
