You will be responsible for originating and managing high‑quality commercial property and development loans, working closely with brokers, developers and professional advisers to deliver tailored funding solutions.
This is a front‑end, relationship‑led role with full ownership across the loan lifecycle from origination through to settlement, drawdowns and repayment.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and secure new commercial and construction lending opportunities through established broker and developer relationships
- Build and maintain strong networks with brokers, developers, valuers and professional service providers
- Structure and negotiate competitive loan terms, pricing and conditions with borrowers
- Oversee preparation and presentation of high‑quality credit submissions to lending committees
- Manage loans end‑to‑end, from approval through settlement, construction drawdowns and repayment
- Instruct and coordinate external consultants including valuers, quantity surveyors, engineers and solicitors
- Monitor ongoing covenants and ensure compliance with credit policy and risk frameworks
- Cultivate strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to support broader lending objectives
- 5+ years’ experience in commercial property and/or construction lending
- Proven origination capability with strong broker and developer networks
- Strong credit knowledge with experience preparing and assessing complex credit proposals
- Confidence negotiating terms, pricing and structures across property transactions
- A proactive, hungry and relationship‑driven mindset (“hunter mentality”)
- The ability to operate autonomously while collaborating with a high‑performing team
