Role Overview
This is a senior strategic role focused on public policy development—not compliance. You’ll work at the intersection of financial services, government, and regulatory bodies, driving policy outcomes that impact the industry.
- Lead development of public policy submissions to government
- Analyse regulatory proposals and advise on strategic responses
- Build and maintain relationships with Treasury, APRA, ASIC, and state departments
- Represent the organisation in policy forums and industry consultations
- Collaborate with senior internal stakeholders across legal, risk, and strategy
- Contribute to thought leadership and advocacy initiatives
- Deep understanding of financial markets and regulatory frameworks
- Experience in public policy development within government or financial services
- Strong relationships with regulators and government departments
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Background in Treasury, APRA, ASIC, or similar policy-focused agency
- Ability to influence and navigate complex stakeholder environments
- Experience writing formal submissions and policy papers
