Position Title
Senior Policy Adviser, Advisory Group Secretariat

Role Overview
This is a senior strategic role focused on public policy development—not compliance. You’ll work at the intersection of financial services, government, and regulatory bodies, driving policy outcomes that impact the industry.
  • Lead development of public policy submissions to government
  • Analyse regulatory proposals and advise on strategic responses
  • Build and maintain relationships with Treasury, APRA, ASIC, and state departments
  • Represent the organisation in policy forums and industry consultations
  • Collaborate with senior internal stakeholders across legal, risk, and strategy
  • Contribute to thought leadership and advocacy initiatives
Skills & Experience
  • Deep understanding of financial markets and regulatory frameworks
  • Experience in public policy development within government or financial services
  • Strong relationships with regulators and government departments
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Background in Treasury, APRA, ASIC, or similar policy-focused agency
  • Ability to influence and navigate complex stakeholder environments
  • Experience writing formal submissions and policy papers
