Job Description
An opportunity has become available for an SMSF Senior / Supervisor to join the growing superannuation team. This role will involve managing SMSF compliance and supporting clients with superannuation matters while working closely with managers and partners.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and reviewing SMSF financial statements and tax returns
- Managing a portfolio of SMSF clients
- Liaising with auditors and ensuring compliance with superannuation legislation
- Preparing member statements and pension documentation
- Assisting clients with superannuation queries and technical matters
- Supporting junior staff and reviewing work where required
Successful Applicant To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- 4+ years’ experience in SMSF accounting within public practice
- Strong understanding of SMSF compliance and superannuation legislation
- Experience using SMSF software such as BGL or similar platforms
- Bonus but not necessary: CA, CPA or SMSF Association qualification (or working toward completion)
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage client relationships
