Role Overview
As Senior SMSF Accountant, you will take ownership of an allocated portfolio, ensuring accurate SMSF compliance and delivering exceptional client outcomes.
Core Responsibilities
- Prepare SMSF financial statements, tax returns and supporting workpapers
- Ensure all funds meet ATO, SIS Act and regulatory compliance requirements
- Coordinate annual SMSF audits and liaise with external auditors
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to process improvements
- Respond to client queries and provide SMSF technical support
- Review work prepared by junior team members and support their development
- Strong SMSF accounting and compliance experience
- Knowledge of superannuation legislation, SIS Act and ATO requirements
- CA/CPA qualified or working towards
- Strong attention to detail and technical capability
- Effective communication and client‑relationship skills
- Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines
