About the job:
Our client, a leading non-bank lending organisation, is looking for a hands-on Senior Technical Business Analyst to support technology transformation, new product development and continuous improvement initiatives.

This is a technically focused role with a strong emphasis on APIs, integrations, data mapping and end-to-end system interactions. You'll work closely with business stakeholders, developers and third-party vendors to translate business needs into detailed technical requirements, improve processes and deliver effective technology solutions.

Some exposure to either consumer or business lending is essential.

What you'll do:
  • Lead business and technical analysis across digital transformation and technology initiatives.
  • Analyse and document APIs, integrations, interfaces and end-to-end system interactions across multiple platforms.
  • Create data mapping documentation, sequence diagrams and detailed functional and technical specifications.
  • Map current- and future-state business processes, identifying opportunities to improve, streamline or automate workflows.
  • Elicit, analyse and negotiate requirements across business stakeholders, developers and third-party vendors.
  • Translate business needs into practical solutions, ensuring requirements are aligned across interconnected systems.
  • Work closely with developers, integration partners and vendors to clarify requirements, resolve blockers and keep delivery on track.
  • Identify technical dependencies, assess risks and support delivery planning across multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Support testing and quality assurance, investigate defects and ensure solutions meet business requirements before release.
  • Take ownership of requirements and drive initiatives from initial analysis through to delivery.
What we're looking for:
  • 7+ years' experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst, including at least 5 years in financial services.
  • Hands-on lending or mortgage experience, with a strong understanding of the lending lifecycle, including loan origination, servicing and broker platforms.
  • Strong hands-on experience analysing APIs, integrations, interfaces and end-to-end system flows.
  • Proven ability to produce technical documentation, including functional and technical specifications, data mappings and sequence diagrams.
  • Confidence interpreting Swagger/OpenAPI specifications, integration guides and solution design documentation.
  • Strong understanding of the SDLC and extensive experience working in Agile environments.
  • Familiarity with lending and broker platforms such as NextGen, ApplyOnline, Simpology or similar solutions highly regarded.
  • Experience working with multiple vendors, integration partners and technology teams.
  • Strong stakeholder management, consultation and negotiation skills, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and resolve competing priorities.
  • A proactive, analytical and detail-oriented approach, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple initiatives.
What to do now:

If you're a technically strong BA with lending experience, a solid understanding of APIs and integrations, and the confidence to challenge stakeholders and drive solutions forward, this could be the role for you.

Join a leading non-bank lending organisation and play a key role in improving systems, processes and customer experiences through technology.
