Key Responsibilities
- Own the platform end to end, including service performance, risk, reliability, and continuous improvement
- Lead and deliver the platform roadmap, supporting approximately 10 concurrent initiatives
- Manage capacity planning, budget oversight, and prioritisation for a platform team of around 10–12 people
- Operate confidently within a 24/7 service model, including incident, problem, and change management aligned to ITIL practices
- Make clear service decisions and lead escalations through to effective resolution
- Partner closely with engineering and delivery teams on data pipelines, profiling, quality, and remediation capabilities
- Establish strong stakeholder confidence through proactive communication and dependable service governance
- Ensure standards, controls, and data quality outcomes remain robust across the platform
- Proven experience owning or running a large‑scale technical platform, ideally within Financial Services or a similarly regulated environment
- Strong understanding of data integration, data pipelines, data quality, profiling, and remediation
- Hands‑on experience with Informatica or comparable enterprise data platforms
- Solid technical grounding in SQL, data engineering concepts, and on‑premises data environments
- Demonstrated ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholders in complex or high‑pressure settings
- Experience operating across run and change in a service‑led organisation
- Practical working knowledge of ITIL frameworks
- Naturally curious mindset with a desire to continuously improve platform capability and service maturity
- Full accountability for a mission‑critical enterprise data platform
- Strong engineering environment with recognised brands and large‑scale data complexity
- Meaningful influence over the future data direction of a major organisation
- Combination of technology leadership, service ownership, and stakeholder impact
