Role Overview
This is a permanent Software Engineer role focused on building, operating, and continuously improving a critical cloud‑native data platform. The position sits at the intersection of engineering, platform reliability, and product ownership.
This is a uniquely positioned permanent Software Engineer role with long‑term platform ownership and leadership. You will be working on a high‑impact data platform used at enterprise and global scale.
You’ll work closely with global engineering peers, product partners, and dependent platform teams, owning solutions end‑to‑end — from design and build through to production stability and optimisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, building, and maintaining production‑grade cloud services
- Owning complex engineering problems end‑to‑end, from architecture to support
- Delivering scalable, secure solutions within modern cloud‑native environments
- Ensuring platform reliability through strong DevOps, CI/CD, and testing practices
- Contributing to security, access control, and compliance standards
- Producing clear technical documentation and operational runbooks
- Collaborating with global teams across time zones as part of a follow‑the‑sun model
- Strong hands‑on experience building and operating cloud‑native applications ( AWS )
- Advanced proficiency in Python within production systems
- Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, data platforms, and cloud services
- Proven ability to operate independently and own technical outcomes
- Comfortable working in regulated, enterprise‑scale environments
- Clear communicator with strong stakeholder engagement capability
- Product‑oriented mindset, not just feature delivery
