to bolster their technical advisory capabilities and work closely with senior leadership to deliver exceptional client outcomes.
Job Description
This consulting-focused role offers the chance to specialise in high-level technical advisory without the requirement to bring in fees. Your responsibilities will include:
- Expert Tax Advisory: Provide guidance on complex matters such as international tax, Division 7A, tax consolidations, CGT concessions, trust taxation, and estate planning.
- Client & Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with senior leadership to craft strategic, client-specific solutions for diverse industries and business structures.
- Regulatory Expertise: Monitor legislative changes and deliver actionable insights for client compliance and planning.
- Training & Thought Leadership: Develop and present internal and external training on technical topics, simplifying complex tax issues for varied audiences.
- Innovative Problem Solving: Use tools like flowcharts, timelines, and diagrams to convey technical solutions effectively to clients and teams.
- Industry Engagement: Represent the firm at professional conferences, seminars, and webinars while contributing to thought leadership through technical publications.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Strong Technical Expertise: Extensive experience in public practice, specialising in tax advisory, technical consulting, and compliance for SMEs and large corporations.
- Communication & Collaboration Skills: An ability to present complex tax concepts clearly and work closely with senior stakeholders and team members.
- Proactive Mindset: A strategic thinker with a knack for addressing challenging client issues through innovative, practical solutions.
- Professional Credentials: CA/CPA qualifications (or equivalent) and postgraduate tax credentials (e.g., CTA, MTax) are highly desirable.
- Technical Excellence: In-depth knowledge of tax legislation, including trusts, ATO compliance, employee share schemes, and international tax.
