Role Overview:
As the Technical Lead of this mission critical system, you will sit at the centre of a complex technology ecosystem, partnering closely with delivery leaders, architects, and business stakeholders.
While still remaining hands-on with the code, you will guide technical direction, uplift engineering capability, and ensure the delivery of secure, scalable, and resilient systems supporting business‑critical functions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing technical leadership across multiple enterprise platforms
- Designing, developing, and approving scalable cloud‑based solutions
- Reviewing architecture, technical designs, documentation, and code
- Mentoring engineers and uplifting engineering standards and practices
- Driving continuous improvement across CI/CD, DevSecOps, and delivery methods
- Engaging stakeholders on technical risks, impacts, and solution options
- Proven capability leading, mentoring, and coaching engineering teams
- 8+ years’ experience in software engineering within enterprise environments
- Hands‑on expertise in Node.js, Python and/or Java (Spring Boot)
- Strong experience designing and delivering solutions on AWS
- Solid understanding of data engineering concepts and data pipelines
- Experience with platforms such as Databricks, PySpark, Glue, or similar
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD practices and modern development workflows
- Experience working in regulated or complex organisations, ideally within Financial Services .
