Technology Business Analyst - Automation
About the Role
As the Technology Business Analyst, you will work closely with business stakeholders to understand current processes, identify automation opportunities and translate business needs into practical technology solutions.
This is not a developer role. It is best suited to someone who can operate as the conduit between the business and technical teams, combining strong analysis and stakeholder engagement skills with enough hands-on technology knowledge to support solution design, delivery, testing and adoption.
You will work across a range of automation and productivity tools, including UiPath, Python and the Microsoft Power Platform, with potential exposure to additional global tooling over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand processes, pain points and automation opportunities
- Gather and document business requirements, process flows and solution needs
- Assess the right technology approach for each problem, across automation, workflow and reporting tools.
- Support solution design across UiPath, Python scripts, Power Automate, Power Apps and Power BI
- Assist with system and software implementations, monitor application performance, and troubleshoot issues to ensure efficient and effective operations.
- Coordinate UAT, testing support, business readiness, handover and training
- Help improve manual, data-heavy or repetitive business processes
- Support a pipeline of automation requests across local and global business teams
- Communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders and help drive adoption of new ways of working
- Experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Automation Analyst, Business Technology Analyst or similar
- Strong process analysis, requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement skills
- Exposure to automation or low-code tools such as UiPath, Power Automate, Power Apps or similar
- Working knowledge of Python or ability to engage with Python-based automation / scripting solutions
- Ability to translate business problems into clear solution requirements
- Experience supporting UAT, handover, training and adoption activities
- Comfortable working with both business stakeholders and technical delivery teams
- Financial services experience highly regarded
- Power BI, Appian or broader workflow automation exposure beneficial but not essential
This 12 month day rate contract role will suit someone who enjoys solving practical business problems through technology and wants to work in a high-quality financial services environment.
