The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Information Technology Risk Advisor to provide counsel with the influence decision-making across architecture, infrastructure, and emerging technology initiatives, ensuring risks are proactively managed while enabling innovation.
You’ll act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, balancing commercial outcomes with sound risk practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance on technology risk, controls, and governance across complex environments
- Partner with IT and business leaders to assess and manage risk exposure
- Support the development and execution of technology risk strategies and frameworks
- Evaluate and uplift existing controls in line with industry best practice
- Advise on risk implications for new systems, products, and transformation projects
- Drive continuous improvement across risk processes, standards, and methodologies
- Build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Contribute to strategic initiatives and uplift organisational risk maturity
- Proven experience in IT risk, technology risk, or cyber risk environments
- Strong understanding of risk frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, ITIL)
- Knowledge of regulatory environments (e.g., CPS 234 or similar)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and modern IT environments
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CRISC) highly regarded
