Role Overview
As the Workday Test Manager , you will take end‑to‑end ownership of the Workday testing portfolio. You’ll be the central contact for all testing activity, coordinating across functional teams, technology groups, program leadership and external partners.
Your remit includes shaping the overall test approach, ensuring readiness for each test phase, and leading a team to deliver high‑quality outcomes across every Workday module and associated integrations.
- Lead the full Workday testing lifecycle across all modules , including SIT, UAT and BVT.
- Establish and maintain the testing strategy, delivery plan, timelines and in time, team structure .
- Partner with program leaders, functional specialists, vendors and Tech Ops to ensure all testing requirements are captured and delivered.
- Oversee preparation of test environments, test data and coordinated execution across multiple workstreams.
- Manage defects from identification to resolution, ensuring issues are prioritised and actioned promptly.
- Being the face of Workday Testing, you will be delivering clear reporting on test progress, risks, issues and go/no-go recommendations for each phase; and represent testing in Steering Committees.
- Extensive experience leading complex, multi‑stream testing programs
- Expertise across end‑to‑end enterprise testing (SIT, UAT, BVT)
- Hands‑on Workday testing experience across multiple modules (HR / PY / Fin)
- Experience with payroll testing , including parallel runs
- Ability to lead testing in environments with high technical and business complexity
- Strong grounding in SDLC, STLC and structured testing frameworks
- Familiarity with financial services or large enterprise environments
- Confident leader with strong stakeholder influence and decision‑making capability
