Sydney or Melbourne:

An opportunity has arisen to join a leading financial services organisation within its growing Platforms business, supporting the governance and oversight of critical third-party service providers across a complex superannuation and wealth management environment.

This role will play a key part in uplifting vendor governance capability across the Platforms business, ensuring strong oversight of outsourced providers, alignment to CPS230 requirements and the establishment of fit-for-purpose governance frameworks embedded into BAU operations.

The business operates in a highly regulated and fast-evolving wealth management landscape, with significant investment underway across platforms, operations, technology and customer outcomes.

The Opportunity:

Working closely with senior stakeholders across Platforms, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Procurement and Technology, you will lead initiatives focused on strengthening supplier governance, improving operational resilience and enhancing oversight of critical service providers.

This role requires strong understanding of superannuation, wealth management and platform operating models, including the risks and governance obligations associated with outsourced administration, custodians, technology vendors and strategic service providers.

You will conduct a detailed review of the current vendor governance environment, identify gaps and implement practical governance solutions aligned to CPS230 and broader regulatory obligations.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the uplift and operationalisation of vendor governance frameworks across the Platforms business
  • Conduct diagnostics and gap assessments of current supplier governance practices aligned to CPS230 requirements
  • Oversee governance and performance management of outsourced service providers across superannuation and wealth operations
  • Establish clear ownership, accountability and oversight processes for material vendors and critical service providers
  • Perform vendor due diligence, controls testing, risk assessments and remediation activities
  • Partner with Procurement on vendor selection, contract governance, SLAs and KPI frameworks
  • Support internal and external audit engagements, compliance reviews and regulatory assessments
  • Develop reporting, dashboards and governance insights for executive leadership, boards and risk committees
  • Monitor evolving regulatory obligations across APRA CPS230, privacy, cyber assurance, AI governance and modern slavery
  • Support the embedding of governance uplift initiatives into BAU operations across Platforms
About You:

You are an experienced governance, operational risk or vendor oversight professional with strong exposure to superannuation, platforms or broader wealth management environments.

You understand the operational and regulatory complexities associated with outsourced providers in wealth management and are comfortable working across matrixed stakeholder groups to drive governance outcomes.

You combine strong technical understanding of third-party risk and CPS230 with a pragmatic, commercially minded approach to uplift and transformation initiatives.

Experience Required:

  • 5+ years’ experience within vendor governance, outsourcing governance, operational risk or supplier oversight roles
  • Strong experience within superannuation, wealth management, platforms or investment administration environments
  • Demonstrated understanding of outsourced operating models across wealth and superannuation businesses
  • Strong understanding of APRA CPS230 and broader third-party risk obligations within financial services
  • Experience managing or overseeing administrators, custodians, technology vendors or strategic service providers
  • Exposure to governance uplift, remediation or transformation initiatives within regulated environments
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capability across operations, risk, compliance and executive teams
  • Experience preparing governance reporting for senior leadership, boards and risk committees
  • Strong written communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
Why Apply?
  • Join a major financial services organisation investing heavily in Platforms transformation and governance uplift
  • Flexible hybrid working environment with strong work-life balance and collaborative leadership culture
  • Competitive remuneration package including attractive bonus structure and long-term career growth opportunities
  • Opportunity to shape and embed a future-state vendor governance capability across a critical growth business
  • Broad exposure across superannuation, wealth platforms, operational risk and strategic supplier governance
